If you prefer a larger property, in the country, surrounded by vineyards and orchards but close to a village and amenities and within easy reach of the beach, Villa Paradis is ideal.
Less than 15 mins to: beach, horse riding, fishing.
Carcassonne airport 40 mins, Toulouse 90 mins, Perpignan 40 mins.
The villa was built in 1979 and is set in its own grounds with garden and large courtyard with parking for 4 cars and external lighting. This is enclosed and there is a locking gate for security.
The apartment is self contained on the ground floor of the villa and there is a private plunge pool with its own changing room, shower and toilet. The pool is very safe for children and is quite adequate for cooling off. There is a lake and river swimming nearby and a large sports centre in Narbonne for serious swimmers.
By the pool there is a large vine covered pagoda for relaxing with up to 6 sun beds, 8 chairs and 2 tables for family dining. There is also a barbecue and a sitting / dining area in front of the house for the morning sun.
The apartment comprises 3 bedrooms; 2 double and 1 twin, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided.
The apartment has 3 bathrooms, 2 en-suite and the 3rd with its own private shower, toilet and washing facilities next to the bedroom.
The apartment has air-conditioning, central heating, video, satellite/cable tv and small library of videos.
There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The kitchen is well equipped, including cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster. You will also find a washing machine, clothes drier, iron and ironing board.
The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south-facing garden and south-facing patio area.
We are unable to accommodate children under 5. Wheelchair friendly. This is a non-smoking apartment.
LOCAL AREA
Close by you will find the beaches, swimming, walking, fishing, cycling, tennis, a sports centre, historic sites, a museum, and a theatre/cinema. Within easy reach you will find sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and a zoo.
The Midi Canal is also close with cycling and electric boat hire facilities available in the next village (Somail) as well as 3 restaurants and art gallery.
There is horse riding at Ginestas about 10 mins away and cycles can be hired locally. We have 2 super markets, pharmacy, newsagents within 10 mins drive and village shops and 2 restaurants within walking distance.
The villa is about 8 km from Narbonne, a famous Roman and Cathedral City. The Midi Canal runs through the centre and there are market days on Thursday and Sunday morning. There is a famous food market in the city square and many shops and restaurants.
There are many places of interest to visit, including Minerve, Carcassonne and, of course, the vineyards.

The villa is set in colourful formal garden and grounds, conveniently situated on the edge of a pretty village close to the Canal du Midi. The ground floor apartment is well equipped with notable inclusion of air-conditioning in each room, satellite TV and ensuite (or equivalent) facilities for each bedroom. The good-size bedrooms are colourfully presented, whilst the open-plan living area is spacious, with French windows to the front patio, morning sun and open aspect with vineyards beyond. There is plenty of garden space in both sun and shade, with the welcoming plunge pool to cool off in the summer sun. Good location for the region’s attractions (easy drive in any direction) and a short walk to the village for the bakery, grocery and bar.
