The beauty of Laroque is its location and views. Behind are the mountains; to the front are the plains of the vineyards with the rich blue Mediterranean sea beyond.
The village is served well by shops, restaurants, bars and market with a supermarket less than 5 minutes drive away.
The apartment is on the first floor of our own detached villa in a quiet residential area of the village and was recently redecorated and modernised. The ground floor is for our own private use and remains empty when this apartment is booked, so you will enjoy sole use of the pool and garden.
Parking is available right outside the property.
Accommodation:
There are two double bedrooms, one double bed one twin. Fully fitted kitchen/diner with dishwasher, washing machine, double oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. Fully tiled bathroom/wc with bath, walk-in shower cubicle, wash hand basin and wc. 2nd separate wc with hand basin. Spacious lounge with two settees, a television/DVD/video with ALL UK channels and stereo/cd player.
French doors lead from the lounge onto the roof terrace with sun loungers, sun blind and additional dining table. This is the best place ever to wine and dine, with spectacular views. From the roof terrace there is an outside staircase directly to the BBQ, terrace and pool area.
The house is corner sited. It has well maintained gardens to the front, side and rear.
The big plus of our property is the fully enclosed, private swimming pool area. The pool itself is 9x4m plus a Roman end with stairs into the pool, fully tiled, 1 metre shallow end, 1.8 metre deep end, illuminated at night - complete with a small pot fountain for the water to cascade into the pool. The large surrounding terrace (160 m2) is a great sunbathing area, facing due south, with sunloungers and canopy to eat in the shade. Totally private and safe.
We ask you to provide your own bed linen and towels. However, bed linen can be provided by prior arrangement at an additional cost of £10 per bed. Continental quilts and pillows are provided. There is a washing machine and a washing line in the garden for your convenience to minimise the amount of your luggage.
A good quality travel cot can also be provided at additional cost.

Laroque is fantastic to visit at any time of year: Spring for those wonderful fresh new colours; Summer for the red hot Mediterranean sun; Autumn for that extended Summer; Winter for long lazy walks in crisp sun-filled mountains, mulled wine and restaurants with log fires.

Independent Comment
A most appealing property in a quiet residential road a short walk from the centre of this picturesque village. The first floor level takes full advantage of the views of the hills and vineyards, orchards and Mediterranean in the distance – especially from the excellent dining terrace. Outside steps lead down to the large and inviting pool which enjoys a generous terrace surround extending to the large barbeque area. The apartment feels light and airy, with tasteful decoration, laminate flooring and smart bathroom. The bedrooms are a good size with attractive outlook and ample storage space and the kitchen (great view again) is very well equipped. The living room is comfortably furnished with French doors to the terrace and to the hall, adding to the ambiance of space and light.
