Situated in the Val de Dagne, southeast from Carcassonne, Domaine la Tuilerie, a 19th century farmhouse is surrounded by the Corbieres mountains and located between the villages of Taurize and Servies en Val. The house sits along the river Alsou, and has its own natural rockpool which is ideal for swimming. There is also an isolated lake close by for swimming, surrounded by mountains and forests, ideal for picnics.
The apartment "Les Trois Fenêtres", originally an old barn, has been converted to the highest possible standards and offers a stunning south facing terrace, giving views over the local vineyards, river and mountains. There is slate flooring throughout, with underfloor heating and two sets of french doors leading out to the large private terrace. The bedroom has french doors to both the terrace and the river, with an adjoining bathroom finished in the finest Italian marble, together with a bath and walk-in shower. The kitchen is fitted with all modern appliances including a dishwasher and microwave.
The living/dining room has both north and south facing spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The whole apartment is extremely well appointed with a log burning stove and period french furniture, together with high-beamed ceilings. There is a bibliotek (full of useful information on the area), television, stereo system and washing/ironing facilities. The hot water is heated by the latest "solar power" technology, backed up with a gas boiler.
The outside terrace has numerous potted plants and shrubs, together with a glass dining table, chairs and two sun loungers. Below is another area, the river garden, with additional seating and access down the rocks to the rockpool. There are a variety of walks close to the apartment, down small tracks, pathways or along the river.
