LOCAL AREA
Moulin de Perle is situated midway between two small villages. The local butcher/general store specialising in Charcuterie, mini golf course and tennis court are located in Le Vivier only 10 minutes walk and the quaint village of Fosse with its open air swimming pool (summer only) and tennis court is 5 minutes walking distance in the opposite direction. Several bars/restaurants providing anything from a quick snack to a gourmet meal and a general store are located in Caudies 10 minutes drive and the larger village of St Paul 20 minutes drive offers several restaurants/banks/petrol stations and a medium sized supermarket.
This charming undiscovered region hidden beyond remote ramparts of limestone, which top the Agly valley, the area's organically shaped villages sit amidst waves of oak and beech forests that cascade from the Fenouilledes ridge tops. Small vineyards and neat vegetable plots are scattered on the inhabitable reaches and ancient crumbling castles erupt from rocky outcrops. It is a destination you should consider all year, for each season has its own charms.
