Le Moulin Pastelier has been renovated to a high standard, mixing original features such as exposed beams and stone work with a contemporary and modern decor. A relaxed, intuitive style of hospitality is offered, have a coffee and slice of home made cake, or a cocktail when you arrive, help yourself to a beer or a glass of wine from the fridge. Dinner is always available - please let us know in advance whenever possible - but if you arrive and are hungry we'll rustle something up for you.
The village of Belesta en Lauragais is just 10 minutes from the A61 Autoroute. Nearby towns are Revel and Villefranche du Lauragais. There are some wonderful sights, a wide range of activities from horse riding to windsurfing all close by, or you can just choose to relax, unwind and enjoy the views of the Pyrenees.
We are happy to collect you from the airport, but recommend hiring a car in order to see some of the wonderful sights locally.
Accommodation
Four bedrooms are available, all located on the ground floor for easy access. The bedrooms have ensuite shower/bath, wc and a wealth of thoughtful extras, such as bathrobes and toiletries, as well as a TV, DVD and CD players. Help yourself to CD's or DVD's to enjoy in your room, or a book, or even a board game.
Luxuriously appointed - the rooms have colour televisions, dvd player and radio/cd player. CD's and DVD's are available. There are thick soft towels, crisp bed linen and a supply of toiletries in each room. They also have radiators, heated towel rails and hairdryers. We are able to supply a travel cot and high chair.
The immense open plan sitting room is available for our guests use. There are comfortable sofas, where you can relax, read a book, watch tv, listen to music or enjoy a fire if it is a chilly evening. If you are staying for dinner then this is where we eat together. Breakfast can also be taken in this room or on the terrace, or if you prefer, delivered to your room.
There is a large landscaped garden, with petanque and badminton available, terrace, decked seating areas and a swimming pool for your enjoyment and if you are feeling adventurous, hire our bikes and go off exploring.
LOCAL AREA
There are many things to do locally, including gentle strolls, taxing hikes and mountain biking. There are two fishing lakes closeby and a larger lake (15 minutes) for windsurfing, catamarans and pedalos. There is a beautiful stretch of canal between Villefranche and Toulouse and there are a wealth of local wines - Minervois, Corbieres and the sparkling wine of Limoux.
Michelin starred restaurants can be found within 15 minutes drive with excellent cuisine at quite reasonable prices.
Revel has a very pretty market and is also famous for the production of furniture, with over 45 shops selling original antiques, reproduction and modern furniture.
Toulouse is only 30 minutes away, Carcassonne 35 minutes and the Mediterranean sea is less than an hour. Andorra is 1½ hours and Barcelona 3 hours.
