Our 2-bedroomed cottage is located in the foothills of the Canigou mountain (2785m), within 5 minutes walk of Vernet-les-Bains spa resort. With 300 days of sunshine per year and no pollution, it has the healthiest climate in France; Rudyard Kipling named it "Paradise of the Pyrenees". It is rich on history, culture and natural beauty.
The accommodation:
The cottage is on two levels:
Ground level: hall, WC, lounge with fireplace and exposed beams, small kitchen, west-facing terrace with spectacular views of the mountains, the valley and the village.
Lower level: 2 bedrooms, bathroom fitted with bathtub/shower and bidet, hall.
General layout: 1 bedroom with double bed 190x140 cm, 1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds 190x90 cm. There is a double convertible sofa bed in the lounge. Sleeps 4/6 persons.
Outside facilities:
Our guests are welcome to use the Village Catalan shared facilities, such as a modest swimming pool, table tennis, barbecue, a garden area, reception services, direct access to the footpaths of the Canigou Nature Reserve.
Other facilities within walking distance include hot springs thermal centre, jacuzzi, sauna, a large public swimming pool, arboretum parks, several restaurants, shops, market 3 times a week, and a casino build during the Victorian epoque.

One of a small group of chalet-style holiday properties nestling on the hillside above Vernet-les-Bains in a picturesque setting with spectacular views of the hills and mountains. All the properties are south-west facing and designed to take full advantage of the superb views both from the spacious living area on the upper floor with big panorama windows and from the terrace. On the lower floor are the bedrooms, which are a good size with plenty of storage space, and bathroom. The properties, with pine ceilings and exposed stone or white walls, are furnished and equipped for your essential holiday needs, providing an excellent base for walking and exploring this beautiful area. The centre of Vernet with restaurants and shops is only 5-10 minutes walk, with the thermal spa centre, casino and municipal pool also close by.
