"Domaine de Clement" is a small private estate on the edge of the village of Fontiers Cabardes, nestling in the foothills of the Montagne Noir in the Languedoc National Park.
We are 15 miles north of the medieval town of Carcassonne and 60 miles east of Toulouse.
Available for self catering holidays or B&B. Free broadband internet access offered to all guests.
Facilities - 16m swimming pool (shared), freshwater stream with trout & crayfish, badminton/volleyball, table tennis, football goals, golf net, games room, daily delivery of bread & croissants, satellite TV& videos (not studios/apartment), video library for rent, ice creams, communal washing machines (payable locally), high sided children's cot/high chair (please book).
The valley is a lovely haven of peace; walks upstream bring you to wild wooded countryside. The very large 16 x 8m swimming pool is set away from the houses. Each cottage has its own private terrace with garden furniture and BBQ. There is games room and laundry room with communal washing machine. New this season, English satellite TV is available in selected cottages.
Moulin Haut, sleeps 8
Door from the terrace overlooking the stream into the living room with circular kitchen area, electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge. Comfortable seating including double sofas, dining table, chairs and English tv/video. Also on this level are a double bedroom & twin bedroom sharing a bathroom and wc. Downstairs (steep steps!) to two further bedrooms, one twin & one double, shower room and separate wc.
Le Sommet, sleeps 4-6
This is a beautifully furnished apartment above the owners' home which includes one big double bedroom, with kingsize bed, a twin room that will comfortably sleep 2 or 3, lounge with a double sofa bed and chairs, dining table & chairs, video and DVD player (video hire is free but please bring your own DVD's!) It has a new kitchen with a gas cooker, fridge and dishwasher, and a shower room/wc.
Shared garden, with its own garden furniture and BBQ area, overlooking the stream, beautiful views and a great sun trap.
Moulin Bas, sleeps 6
Doors from the terrace, beside the stream, lead into the living room, character kitchen corner with electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge. Comfortable seating including large sofa & chairs, dining table & English tv/video. Upstairs is one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, a shower room and separate wc.
Petit Clement 1 & 2, each sleeps 2
Two studio rooms set above the main mill and with terraces overlooking the stream. Double sofa bed (can be replaced by twin beds, please specify when booking), table and chairs, kitchen corner with cooker and fridge. Shower room with WC.
Shared use of garden, beautiful views and sun trap!
Ecurie, sleeps 8
Lovely big terrace and private garden leads into the open plan living room with comfortable seating, dining table and chairs and English TV/video. The large kitchen area has electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge. Above this is a mezzanine with double sofa bed. There is one double bedroom with kingsize bed, two twin bedrooms, a shower room and separate WC.
LOCAL AREA
The pretty local village, a short walk away, has a grocery, post office and cafe/bar/restaurant. There is another restaurant 5 minutes away and there are also riding, tennis and bicycle hire facilities. There are two 18 hole golf courses within 30 minutes, Mediterranean beaches 1 hour, the Costa Brava 2 hours and the Pyrenees mountains 1 hour away.

Domaine de Clement is a world all of its own, a haven from the stresses and crowds of daily working life. Nestling in the wooded foothills of the majestic Montagne Noire, this private estate is a place to unwind and relax deep in the heart of rural southern France. We would especially highlight the unusually large swimming pool with acres of space for lounging, and lots of areas for recreation and games activities in the spacious grounds. The accommodation in Le Moulin Haut, Le Moulin Bas and l’Ecurie is particularly spacious, light and airy, with great character, and finished to a reassuringly high standard with all the equipment and facilities suitable for a relaxing holiday.
