Facing the lake of Salses / Leucate and the 2900 mtr high Pyrenean mountain of Canigou. Cap Coudalere Le Barcarés is a Catalan style, traffic free village with landscaped gardens and small squares. The small harbor is lined with cafés, restaurants, bars and shops and with the beach only 300 meters away. It is a great place to enjoy a holiday where the whole family is spoilt with a huge choice of activities. Situated on the main beach of Coudalere UCPA offer both sailing and windsurfing schools. Coudalere is one of the best windsurfing spots in Europe. All the apartments are situated within a short distance of the lake, ideal for windsurfing, kite surfing and other watersports.
Spain is a short drive away along the Catalan coast, and en route there is the old city of Perpignan, the former capital of the Kings of Majorca. There is also the picturesque town of Collioure, beloved by artists, with its Catalan harbor to visit. The famous vineyards of Fitou and the sweet dessert wine vines of Rivesaltes are also close by with plenty of opportunities for tasting and buying.
There is a large swimming pool park with water slides at the Marina Atlantide leisure center and also sea water treatments at the Institute Thalassol in Barcares. You can, of course, visit the discotheque, restaurant and casino at the Lydia. Golfers will enjoy the 27-hole course at St Cyprien (20 mins).
