Languedoc-Roussillon enjoys over 200 km of broad sandy beaches and St Pierre-la-Mer is ideally situated between the larger resorts of Valras Plage and Narbonne Plage with a wide range of beaches for safe swimming, water sports and extensive seaside facilities.  Close by are pretty fishing ports including Gruissan, whilst you also have easy access to the well known Aqualand at Cap d'Agde, Agde and Sête; the larger historic towns of Béziers and Narbonne are only 1/2 hour's drive, whilst St Pierre is also well placed for a wealth of attractive excursions including Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, the Cathar castles, several excellent golf courses and the lakes and rivers offering beautiful scenery, water sports, fishing and canoeing.
