What is the Independent Comment?

The Independent Comment is a summary paragraph written by the owners of A Week or 2 in Languedoc following a personal visit to the property (optional for property owners). It gives you additional information and highlights particular attributes and advantages of a property / location.

It is written to complement the information displayed on the property advert from an independent viewpoint and should be read in conjunction with the property owner's information. It is designed to assist you in selecting the right property / location for your holiday, whilst also providing you with a degree of reassurance. It is not intended to be a "star rating" system, but aims to give you added value information to help you choose the property that suits your preferences the best.

Where to find the full Independent Comment

On the property summary pages, the sun symbol (which denotes the Independent Comment) indicates which properties have an Independent Comment with a "yes" or "no".  You will find the Independent Comment itself on the full property advert by clicking on the property picture or title line on the property summary page.

Special Places to Stay

We also have our own personal list of what we consider to be "special places to stay" available on request - just complete the Property Finder Service enquiry form with your criteria quoting "special places to stay" in the "Any other requirements" box at the bottom of the enquiry form.

The Independent Comment (approx 120 words) is designed to assist prospective guests in selecting the right property / location for their holiday.  It is also designed to assist advertisers in enhancing the quality and appropriateness of enquiries ensuring more certainty on bookings resulting from enquiries.

For your reassurance, our Independent Comment is not intended to be a "star" rating system; it aims to give "added value" to both holidaymaker and property owner - for the holidaymaker it gives additional information and reassurance for them, helping them make their selection. For property owners it highlights additional attributes /advantages which we hope will increase your bookings.

Our property visits for the Independent Comment will normally take no more than 1 hour (depending on how long you would like to spend with us) and are usually arranged during May / June and September / October.  We are keen to build long term relationships with our advertisers and would also be pleased to assist with additional ideas for marketing your property if requested, as we have valuable experience ourselves in both running holiday accommodation and advertising with a range of companies.  We also receive a lot of enquiries direct from prospective holidaymakers using our Property Finder Service.  If we personally know you as well as your property and location with its particular attributes, it becomes that much easier to assist these enquirers.

Your approval of our Independent Comment will always be sought before it is included in your advertisement.
